To anyone still thinking that Microsoft’s open source and Linux push of 2010s was anything other than the “Embrace” phase all over again, this is how my screen looks like after I try to az login into my Azure tenant:

The fix was changing

[auto-upgrade]
enable = yes

to

[auto-upgrade]
enable = no

In C:\Users\<username>\.azure\config.
